How Install Smarts on Android devices

With this setup method, a user (typically an IT admin) scans a QR code provided by your EMM to enroll a device from a device's setup wizard

Platform pre-installation step 

From the Devices Menu in Optehub, click on "Add Device" from the top right corner of the devices table

Select Android option from the pop up window and then press Next 

Scan the QR code in order to install the application on your device 

Smartphone operations

1. Turn on a new or factory-reset device.

2. Tap the screen six times in the same spot. This triggers the device to prompt you to scan a QR code.

3. Select your Language

4. Scan the QR code provided by Optehub to set up the device from the paltform pre-installation setup.

4. The QR code can optionally contain additional setup details, such as Wi-Fi credentials, locale, timezone, and custom disclaimers.

Installation Setup 

After the QR scanning success you have to set up the device configuration

1. Set Up your network 

2. Press next on the device belongs to your organization

3. Select "USE FOR WORK ONLY" for the enterprise enrollment

4. Press Continue on "Set up your phone" dialogue

5. Press Next on "This device isn't private" information screen

6. Accept the Usage Services 

7. Accept the legal policies 

Smarts Initialization

After the device configuration you have to configure the permissions for the Smarts application. Start the Smart app for the first time 

1. Grant Usage Access permission

2. Select Smarts from Usage Access 


3. Grant Install from unknown sources permission

4. Select Smarts to be installed from unknown sources 

5. Grant Display over other apps permission 

6. Select Smarts to display over others apps 

7. Grant Battery Permission

8. Select "Never Sleeping apps" from   Background usage Limit option  

Finally add the Smarts application from never sleeping application
